Joseph J. Barlupo
Prior to starting his own law firm in April 1990, Mr. Barlupo practiced Workers’ Compensation defense with another Northern California firm. He has obtained experience in all facets of Workers’ Compensation defense. Mr. Barlupo is a Certified Specialist in Workers’ Compensation.
He has served as an adjunct professor for the University of California, Davis, teaching advanced Workers’ Compensation. Mr. Barlupo is a member of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the State Bar. He is also a member of the San Joaquin Bar Association.
Prior to entering the practice of Workers’ Compensation law, Mr. Barlupo received extensive jury and court trial experience while employed by the County of Fresno as a Deputy District Attorney. In this capacity he prosecuted felonies, with responsibility for motions, preliminary hearings and trials. He was also Vice President of the Fresno County Prosecutor’s Association.
Mr. Barlupo received his degree of Juris Doctor from McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento in 1984. While in law school he was a member of the Business Law Forum and Student Bar Association. He also served as Chief Law Clerk for the firm of Vanesian and Beedy. Mr. Barlupo graduated on the Dean’s Honor List from the University of California at Davis in 1978, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
